COVINGTON – Mrs. Emily Josephine Huston, age 56, of Covington Rt. 1, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, (1967) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient four days. She had been in ill health six years. She had resided in the Covington area the past 20 years. She attended the Cooper Chapel EUB Church. A native of Grand View, Ill., she was born April 10, 1911, the daughter of Melvin D. and Jennie Augustus Ritchey. She was married in 1930 to John Huston, who survives. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: her parents, who reside in Yeddo; three sons, Floyd of Cates, James of Williamsport Rt. 2, and John Jr. of Stringtown; two daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Brock of Veedersburg Rt. 4 and Mrs. Lillie Mae Robinson of Wingate; four brothers, Clarence Ritchey of Marshall, Ill., Raymond and Melvin Ritchey, both of Veedersburg and David Ritchey of Veedersburg Rt. 3; and three sisters, Mrs. Vona Fulkerson of Yeddo, Mrs. Audrey Carroll of Chrisman, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Clendenen of Monticello. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. Cecil Carroll officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. – jlr
